About Kit

Mr. Armstrong is a specialist gastrointestinal surgeon with particular expertise in endoscopy, gastrointestinal surgery and laparoscopy. His interests include gallbladder disease, pancreatitis, hiatus hernia, upper gastrointestinal cancer (oesophagus, stomach and pancreas) and hernia surgery. He is an acknowledged expert in laparoscopic surgery for gallstones, hiatus hernia, inguinal hernias and other abdominal conditions and is recommended in the Doctor Foster guide.

Qualified MB ChB from Edinburgh University Medical School in 1978. FRCS (Edinburgh & England) 1982 MD (Edinburgh) 1985.

Present appointment Consultant General Surgeon and recognised gastroenterology specialist at Frenchay Hospital, Bristol since 1990.
